Just in case you’re in Los Angeles this weekend…
Okay Mountain is having a solo show at Mark Moore Gallery. The opening is Saturday Feb. 16th from 6-8pm and it should be really fun and/or funny.
The following day (Sunday Feb. 17th) I’m doing a book release for the Wonderful Wizard Of Oz at Secret Headquarters from 7-9pm.
And just in case you’re in Austin next week…
I’ll be at Book People on Tuesday Feb. 19th for an artist’s talk and book signing at 7pm. Only books purchased at Book People will be eligible for inscriptions. Support your local independent bookstore.
Thanks for caring and/or sharing.
Looks like the The Wonderful Wizard Of OZ books are finished being printed. They’re available on bookstands on February 19th. I’ll be doing a few in-store book release events in the near future. As soon as I have concrete information I’ll make a post about those events.
In Roger Skateboards news, we finally revived the Roger of the Month program, but we upgraded the whole thing to the Roger of the Season. The first winner for Winter 2013 is Jamal Gibbs from Boynton Beach, FL. Check out his video here.
Some of my friends are building a new website for me right now, it should be finished in the next few weeks. Expect simplicity.
Hope all is well with you and yours,
-Sieben
I teamed up with my buddies at INDUSTRY print shop in Austin to make a little line of t-shirts. Buy one for your favorite uncle for the Holiday Season.
2 years ago I was commissioned by Harper Design to illustrate The Wonderful Wizard Of OZ. Yesterday I received an advance copy of the book in the mail. The book is available for pre-order at a number of online book sellers and will be available in bookstores on February 19th.
Thanks, world.
If you have a child between the ages of 6-12, you might have already seen this on your television. I recently worked on a project with Nicktoons providing artwork for an on air promo for their December programming schedule. There are a few different commercials featuring characters and background elements that I created to illustrate the theme of Winter Funderland.
And here’s two interviews in case you want to read what my brain tells my face to say:
Happy Friday.
I just added 3 new prints and a new zine to the Gift Shop.
Enjoy your weekend, everybody.
To celebrate Cyber Monday I’m running a 1 day sale in the Gift Shop. Anybody that orders a print today will get an additional surprise print shipped free of charge with their order.
In media news, I’m honored to be included in SLAP Magazine’s 20 Year Anniversary Issue. Thanks, SLAP!
Check back this week as I’ll be adding 3 new prints and a zine to the site. Thanks, turkeys.
I recently designed these two graphics for Roger Skateboards to celebrate Nate LaCoste turning pro. Congrats, Nate!
Want to read an interview I conducted with Todd Falcon? Yeah? Okay.
Want to see what the inside of Okay Mountain looks like right now? Yeah? Okay.
Want to see a shoe I recently worked on with adidas? Yeah? Okay.
I was recently asked (by ZOLTRON) to design a PRIMUS poster for their current tour. Each venue that they’re playing at has a unique poster designed by a different artist (read more here.)
I have 50 signed and numbered (low numbers) posters available in the Gift Shop as well as 2 variants only available on this site.
Hi Internet, long time no talk. So… what’s been going on the past few weeks?
I wrote a little recap of the Help Wanted show for the VICE site. Click here for proof.
I’ll tell you more about this later… but pre-book now if you want to act like you knew before everybody else heard about it.
I’m working on a drawing right now for the Monster Show 7 at Domy Books that opens this Saturday in Austin.
Here’s an article about my work in SLUG magazine from Utah. Thanks, SLUG.
The drawing at the top of this post was created specifically for a show in the UK next month titled 100 Houses. Paul Roberts curated the show which brings together 100 different artists all creating their depiction of “home” on a 10” x 10” surface. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the Shelter organization. The show runs from November 16th - 30th at Bristol’s Tobacco Factory.
New print coming this week. But I’m not lying this time. Thanks for your patience.
